Eh, ok. I kind of like the obviously faked shadows. You used a Circle with gradients right? Anyway, I plan to make a GNOME/KDE icon set made completely with SVG.

faked shadows... are you referring to the portals that are under the Companion Cube?

yes, it was a radial gradient.

I don't see shadows beneath the cube itself - you mean the wings?

Why not post the SVG itself - all competent browsers (read: Safari and Firefox) can display them...
It is dark. You are likely to be eaten by a grue.

Actually, Safari anf Firefox (from what I understand), turn them into PNGs of the correct resolution.

Hey! Why does everyone forget Konqueror? I don't know about Safari, but Konqueror's SVG support is much better than that of Firefox.

(Ferret, remember, WebKit is based on KHTML (actually, by now it goes both ways).)

I don't care about arguing over different browsers or Desktop Environments or even Window Managers.

Anyway, by Firefox, I think you mean the Gecko engine by which Mozilla, Mozilla Seamonkey, Mozilla Firefox, K-Meleon, Epiphany, and a whole host of other browsers use,

Yes, neither do I very much, but he was implying that those were the only decent browsers in existence.

No he wasn't. He was just suggesting common/popular browsers.

Fanaticism is clearly affecting your judgmental abilities in understanding the semantics and implied meanings of another's statements. Quoting myself, "I question the world, ostracize myself from it, and survey from above". My quote pretty much says, look at things from a bigger perspective, but it can easily be dumbed down to the statement," Read Topic Before Posting".

Now I just have to sit back and think, "Who quotes themselves and what did I just type that for?"

Oh, how ironic fate can be!
OK, I'm gonna stop quoting the character Mephiles the Dark. and quote Morpheus instead.
Morpheus

Fate, it seems, is not without a sense of irony.
enough of that!

yes, I agree it's fun to look at things from many views. and mock yourself from the dark corners of your own mind.

wow. how strangely this topic has diverged.
