We're probably using the new Crystal Space engine. AFAIK, Crystal Space will be able to handle it.

Otherwise, I'll default back to Lua...

Well I am the current mastermind of Mechas Robo and so I think we should begin development and planning.

There are a some questions we need to answer before we even begin planning. We need to figure out how many developers we have available, their skill levels, the hardware and software we have available, and how much time everyone can give to the project.

Everyone who plans to be a part of this project should post a fill out version of this resume-like thing:

Time Available for Mechas Robo development: (hours per week)
Areas of Interest: (Modeling, Rigging, Animating, Choreography, Character Development and Design, Storyline, Marketing and Publicity, Management, Testing, Bugfixing)
Concise Description of Skills and Development Experience: You should be as accurate as possible. Do not exaggerate your skills or experience as that will only lead to embarrassment if you cannot fulfill the job you have been given.

Please make sure you bold the text as I have. Do not bold what I do not have bold. This helps me read them faster and reduces eye strain on my part.

I will be using this to determine who should do what and how the project should executed.

Dunno if I'll be available much in the upcoming months. I'm currently working on an inconspicuous project of my own, plus I'll be out for literally half of July. I'll have to see before posting a real resume.

till then,

Well since all the developers and people who all assured me that they would help have seemingly dried up, I guess I am alone in my development yet again. If anyone wishes they can try can help, but I am probably going at this solo.

Jesin promised me he would get everyone back on the site for the summer if I left it till then. I complied but even he (and he and I meet for D&D regularly) does does not show up. I await the influx of activity he promised he would bring.

As for everyone else, I do not know what to say. When I first be began discussing this, we were all really excited and had big hopes and dreams for this this project. I remember the 8 pages of discussion on the story line itself quite well.

As I had continuously remarked, everyone would talk and argue, but in the end, it would fall into vaporare. Unfortunately, I can't let that happen as too many of bluedevs projects have fallen to the same fate.

Oh well, I guess bluedevs is a one man joint. I better fire up blender and get back to modeling...

Even though I am now the sole developer on this game, if anyone is reading this thread I'd like to post a link to a nice article I found on blenderartists: Demystifying the Art of Video Games
