Techwizrd i hope you remember the last time when we took saw who could make the best animation. You up for another round?; You could Redeem yourself. Personally i am bored and i want to see how much youve improved. So the Category is Halo 1, 2, or 3 You must be done by May 4th Lets Go BIATCH |

Animation? WTF? Do you even know anything about animation? If you are talking about filming yourself while playing a game and putting in your own voices, that is called machinima. Furthermore, I am much more experienced than you when it comes to modeling, texturing, and programming. You couldn't even tell me what a Edge Loop or a Bone was! Anyways, I have no idea what your asking. I don't know if your asking me to make a machinima (I don't have Halo of course, nor an XBOX), to make a sig/logo (I wouldn't degrade myself to making Halo sigs/logos), or model a Halo character. Furthermore, we have never had an animating contest. And we all know I would win. Flat out. Your only experience was 3DS Max for slightly under a year. I have 3 years of Blender under my belt. (Thank you MushroomDude, thank you) And just WTH are you asking me to do? I didn't even see this till today (which is apparently the due date)! |

Actually, just because you asked, let's a have a REAL contest. You and me with the rest of the forum-goers to judge. You must model a lamp. Here is the rubric for it: 1pt - Creative Name 3pt - Under a 1000 quads 4pt - Realistic/Stylized 2pt - Texture quality 2pt - Background 4pt - Technique 2pt - Wireframe shot 2pt - Untextured shot 8pt - In by due date (May 8) 8pt - Overall look 2pt - Source provided and authenticity proven Just try and beat me. |

YAY! We now have an experienced blender-er to judge us. BTW, firefox838 says his 3DS MAX isn't working so well right now. Guess he'll have to use Blender. Should we extend the due date? |

i already told you. My 3ds max is corrupted.....
Dude....................there isnt much you can say cause i beat you last time when we had a round. I also told you during school that my 3ds max is corrupted. and i posted this in 2d because im challenging you to a 2d match. Not trying to bring you down so dont try to do it to me. wow... Such drama... Sounds kinda like my life right now, except without the relationship issues. ANYWAYS. Seeing as you two can't seem to settle on a topic, I'll set it for you. STEAM PUNK CHARACTER Requirements: Aesthetics: -Melee weapon strapped to back -Ranged weapon in hand OR six-shooter pistols somewhere. -Goggles of some sort (On or Off) -Must look cool -Textured Technical: -Wireframes must be posted -the sources too, in .blend, or .obj -Poly Limit: 5000 (large, I know, but I want to see what both of you can do) AND CONCEPT ART A MUST. Actually, I've thought it over. I don't want to do a Naruto character because I know that firefox838 will just pull an image off Google Images and make a few changes in PhotoShop. According to him, that is Animation. Steampunk would be nice, but I don't know what Steampunk is. I'll post a steampunk character anyway after I check around Wikipedia for some info. |

Ok, I just checked Wikipedia. Steampunk seems like a very interesting genre. Seems like a place I could try some new modeling techniques. I think this is going to be a very fun contest! I just drew some concept art and I will try to locate a scanner later tonight. |

Well, I did a quick little concept art and I somehow was able to get it scanned. Here is preview picture that leads the fullsize drawing on my DeviantArt page. There are a lot of VERY obvious influences to this drawing. Just look around Google Images with the search terms 'steampunk' and 'steampunk chars'. I also added in a few of my own ideas such as the sword, the holdster, a more unique pant design, another shirt, a cape, a pcketwatch, an original hat and face, and some weird coloring and shading.
